RUN VERTICAL (Running up the Side of a Building) London, 2018 is a live performance artwork funded and supported by Arts Council England. Challenging gravity – a unique work that engages all audiences and contributes to a professional artistic platform at Central Saint Martins UAL in partnership with Kings Cross Estate – promoting British Live Performance Art.
Proposed to take place Autumn 2018 on the Granary Building, Granary Square, Kings Cross. Artist, Carali McCall, will run towards the building, then seamlessly transition to the vertical, running up the entire building. Directly responding to, Trisha Brown’s, Man Walking Down the Side of a Building (1970); this artwork will demonstrate and promote running as an empowering and artistic activity, and address how the city can be used as a surface to engage with as a material for artwork.
